1700: Breaks galore on Lenglen. Three in a row, in fact. Makarova strikes first to get her nose in front at the start of the second set. Azarenka hits straight back to level, but Makarova regains the initiative and is now serving for a 3-1 lead. Don't bank on it.

Andy Murray
How's the ankle, Andy?
1650: For those of you just joining us, Murray came through a practice session this afternoon seemingly unscathed. He gave that twisted right ankle as good going over and is expected to be passed fit to face Troicki in the match that follows Azarenka and Makarova on Lenglen.

Paul, Birmingham, via text on 81111: "I don't know a great deal about Troicki, but I believe he's on the up - at his highest ranking & has two good ankles. Will Murray go all out like in his previous match, or mix it up as I hear he's done so well against Troicki in the past? This injury thing adds some intrigue..."

1645: Back to Lenglen, where Azarenka breaks again to take the opening set 6-2. She's looking a massive contender for the title, is Vika. Next up on this court, Andy Murray v Viktor Troicki - shouldn't be too long now.

1640: Any Soderling or Simon fans out there? Good news for the former, bad for the latter. Soderling is now two sets and a break to the good and within touching distance of a quarter-final meeting with Rafael Nadal. Those two have previous at Roland Garros, remember?

Twitter
BBC Sport's Piers Newbery on Twitter: "Monfils' epic win over Ferrer means we have just Azarenka v Makarova between us and Murraytime. Maybe 6pm UK? Not on BBC2 now."

Ekaterina Makarova
Makarova - a multiple Grand Slam champion in the making?
1635: "Some people feel she looks like a young Steffi Graf," says Sam Smith of Makarova on the BBC Red Button. Thoughts? I reckon there's a slight resemblance to the 22-time Grand Slam champion, you know. She actually won her first meeting with Vika, on the grass of Eastbourne last summer. However, the Belarusian has won each of their two matches this season and she's just broken serve for 4-2.

1628: Mixed start from the purple-clad Azarenka. She holds well in game one, goes a break to the good in game two and then finds herself standing on the verge on an early 3-0 advantage. But back comes unseeded Makarova with several powerful returns in game three and an impressive set of deliveries in game four. All square.

1620: How about that for a six-hour sting by Mr Ashenden? Not sure I can live up to his lofty standards but let's give it a go. And while I'm at it, I could most certainly do with a hand from you fine people. Get in contact @bbcsport_david using the Twitter hashtag #BBCTennis or fling me over a text via 81111 (UK).

1615: Well, what a Monfster victory that was for the home crowd on Lenglen. Fair to say the stadium has emptied somewhat for Azarenka v Makarova, but we're sticking around. These two are followed on to the red dirt by Andy Murray and his fourth-round opponent Viktor Troicki. Watch this space.

By Mark Ashenden

1609: It's time for some fuel. In the form of lunch. A massive thank you for all your comments. What a day so far. And there's plenty more drama on the way. Time for David Ornstein to slip into the throne. It's been a pleasure. Bye.

dwayne1991 on Twitter: "Federer perhaps glad to see Monfils instead of Ferrer? Monfils seemed to lose a lot of energy in that game."
With the crowd on his side and a shirt dripping in blackberry stains, I don't see too many problems with the engine of Monfils. A stunning contrast of two players though. Mr Cool v Monsieur Madforit.

1601: A swift nip back to Chatrier and Soderling is 3-2 down to Simon in set two after winning the first set 6-2. Next up on Lenglen is Makarova v Azaraenka. After that? Here's a clue. Scottish. Strapped right ankle. And just the finest mop of hair. ANDY MURRAY v VIKTOR TROICKI.

Will Rider in Tunbridge Wells, via text 81111: "Match of the tournament in my eyes, and I think that Monfils could add some extra spice to the quarter final draw. It will take a brave man to bet against Federer reaching the semis but never rule out a home favourite. Tasty!"

1555: Could this be it? Monfils has three match points.......and MONFILS WINS...INCREDIBLE MONFILS WINS 6-4 2-6 7-5 1-6 8-6. 4 hours 7 minutes. Brilliant entertainment. Think the French crowd liked that? I should co-co.....stunning.

1549: Hello hello. Ferrer has a break point and he's skipping about like a spring foal. Monfils keeps his fans at ease to make it deuce. What a match. The Frenchman opens his body up, tit's just a purple blur and he smashes the ball back with a stunning forehand. ADV MONFILS. And he holds on. 4 hours 4 minutes. Ferrer needs to hold his serve to stay in the French Open.

Anon, via text 81111: "On the topic of losing one's bottle in other languages: literally translated, "Monfils vient de perdre sa bouteille", which actually sounds kind of nice in French.."
I thank you.

1544: Ferrer cruising at 40-0 on serve but Monfils hits back with a couple of blunder-busters. And massive cheers. Another massive rally and it's Ferrer's time to go for a shot that drifts wide. DEUCE. WOW. And Ferrer is on top in the next rally, he comes into the net, does a little dance mid-air and plants the ball nervously into the net. ADV MONFILS and it's match point. But Ferrer saves his third point. Gutsy. And he holds. Brilliant. 6-6. No tie-break. The brutality rumbles on.

1537: French relief all round as Monfils takes it 6-5 with a steady hold.

1534: The brutality continues. I can see Ferrer coming through this. Monfils looks battered. An incredible exchange of backhands by both. But Monfils is feeling it and tries to play a strange winner. Not a chance. Ferrer playing everything the Frenchman is throwing at him. 30-0 and it's soon game. Clenched Spanish fist? You bet. "He's an extraordinary athlete" says Andrew Castle. 5-5. Soderling 5-2 meanwhile and serving against Simon.

1529: Ferrer holds his head and shirt in his hands. 40-15. Two match points. Ferrer chops one back brilliantly and Monfils steps up to play the winner......it should have been...it goes straight into the net. Nerves. Tight. 40-30. One more chance. And the Frenchman does it again. "Tight tight" says John Lloyd. "Everybody's tight" adds Lloyd. Ummmmm yeh I'm a little tight. Utter class. Ferrer battles for everything. Monfils is gasping for some Parisian oxygen as he goes wide. ADV Ferrer. Stunning rally. 28-shot rally. Stupendous. Oh lordy. Monfils tries a gutsy dropshot and Ferrer slices it down the line for the winner and the game. Five points in a row. Brilliant. Did we just see Monfils lose his bottle? What's bottle in French? "His mind went all over the place" says Lloyd. What a game. And it's 5-4 and GAME ON.... in a major way.

1524: Ferrer holds. Monfils strides across the clay and he's four points from making the quarters. Can he hold his nerve in front of a vociferous and partisan crowd?

Twitter
kmulungu on Twitter: "Monfils game cant get more fabulous than his flamboyant kit. This is one of the lovely and lively games he has played."
Purple. Tick. Vest. Tick. No sleeves. Tick. It's ticks all round for the Monfils outfit. Love it.

1520: Was anybody doubting Soderling? The fifth-ranked Swede has blasted out of the blocks and leads Simon 4-1 in set one.

1519: Monfils cranking up the pressure on Ferrer as more errors guide the Frenchman to a 5-2 lead. He'll be starting to sniff the Swiss cheese of Federer. One last chance for Ferrer.

BBC Sport's Piers Newbery at Roland Garros: "Huge cheers ringing around Roland Garros from the direction of Lenglen, and when I get there even the press are queuing to get a seat. Weather update - one minute warm & sunny, next cloudy & muggy. Forecast - I'll regret the shorts and t-shirt when watching Murray at 9.30pm."
I can't believe you've made the classic British error. Do as all south Europeans do. Have the pastel-coloured sweater tied around your neck with that weird knot tied at the front. Sorted. Covers all weather bases.

1515: Ferrer holds to get it to 4-2. The purple-vested supremo in full control right now. But you sense there could still be a twist or two. How do you see this one going? TWEET OR TEXT. I'd love to hear your thoughts.

1512: A Federer quarter-final is looming and at the moment it looks good for Monfils. He stretches his lead to 4-1. Contrasting reactions. Monfils looks at the crowd - possibly his coach but couldn't tell - either way, he calmly nods his head in a Thierry Henry style. Ferrer though is left raising his racquet and just holds himself together to avoid smashing it against the clay. Seventh seed Ferrer has it all to do. Monfils last reached the Roland Garros quarters two years ago, following his semi-final in 2008. The crowd are expectant.

BBC Sport's Piers Newbery at Roland Garros: "That's the way to play doubles!" shouts one of their supporters as I arrive on Ct1 just in time to see Vesnina & Mirza knock out top team Dulko & Pennetta. All smiles at the net though. I feel I've brought them bad luck, although hardly anyone in to watch the match. Absolutely heaving outside, what are they all doing?"

1503: A very lively game indeed. And the noise-levels are building on Lenglen as Monfils fights back to take Ferrer to deuce. AND the Frenchman breaks. 3-1. "He's up a break but he's nowhere near finishing this match" says a warning John Lloyd.

1455: Ferrer and Monfils 1-1 in set five. Up next on Chatrier? It's the unsung Robin Soderling against Gilles Simon. Expect some French noise coming your way. The winner plays Nadal. Easy! Only joking. It was still pretty easy for Rafael wasn't it. The mighty Roger awaits the winner of Ferrer and Monfils. Federer that is.

It's good news for a Briton
1450: Top seeds GB's Oli Golding and Jiri Vesely BEAT Gregoire Barrere and Michael Bois 6-1 6-2 in the boys doubles first round.

1444: Sorry for lack of updates on Lenglen. Ferrer resumed his match with Monfils 2-0 up in fourth set and he's just served to take the encounter into a five-setter. More waiting for Murray. Makarova v Azarenka on first though.

The match is over
1442: Nadal stays cool. Never in question was it? World number one beats Ljubicic 7-5 6-3 6-3. Pretty comfortable in the end but his performance seemed quite flat. "He's not happy out there, no question, with the mistakes he's making" says John Lloyd. "He will get better. He's too much of a champion for that."

1440: The first bit of entertainment as Nadal and Ljubicic exchange some pitter-patter at the net and no one seems willing or desiring the point. Ljubicic soon takes the game though and stays in the match with a forehand made with his back leaning almost at right angles. 5-3.

Paul in Manchester, via text 81111: "I made a lovely clay pot when I was at school. With clay sausages spiralled round on top of each other then smoothed down on the outside. Why isn't the Roland Garros trophy made in this way?"
See entry 1412. This is the greatest sporting suggestion I have ever digested. Are you reading Roland Garros officials?

1433: Nadal easily holds his serve and is now just one game from victory. 5-2. John Lloyd says: "It's like Ljubicic came on to the court without a plan and his body language looked like he didn't believe he could win this match."

1430: A quick run-down on Lenglen Court. The unfinished Ferrer 4-6 6-2 5-7 2-0 Monfils is about to resume. Makarova and Azarenka to follow that one. Then it's Murray. Assuming the Paris clouds don't offload.

1428: Nadal comes out like a wounded panther and blasts his way through a service break. Two-game advantage restored. 4-2.

Champions do scrape through some matches and that's what makes them champions, its just a bad spell."

1424: Mmmmm three break points for Ljubicic. An ace saves one. A booming forehand and smash follow-up saves a second. One left. One lifeline left. Phone a friend Rafa? Ljubicic back right in it after playing a very conservative point. All about waiting for Nadal's mistakes and he makes a big one. Big war cry from Ljubicic. 3-2.

Don't mince your words Conor. Those Rafa fans will be on your case.

1415: Nadal wins his serve and leads 2-1. Ljubicic is mad with himself and crashes the ball into the net. And he then does it again and bounces his racquet off the clay in frustration. 3-1 to Nadal. The world number one just starting to produce a few mini-fireworks.

1412: All thoughts please then. Nadal. Murray. Paris weather. The clay. Has anybody ever made anything from clay? My mind starts thinking of Lionel Richie's HELLO video. The match is over
1410: CHELA BEATS FALLA 4-6 6-2 1-6 7-6 6-2 in 3 hours 55 minutes. So it's Chela who Murray or Troicki will meet for a place in the semis.

1406: Nadal bags his fifth game in a row and takes the first game of the third set 1-0. Over on Lenglen, the end is nigh as Chela breaks Falla again and will now be serving for the match. Five minutes from four hours of action. Winner of this match plays Murray / Troicki.

1358: After making the quarters, Li Na says: "If I win in the fourth round, what should I say? That I played bad tennis? I don't think so. I've tried to keep the same level as Melbourne, or even better. I didn't like claycourts, but I'm still in the quarter-finals. 1328: Nadal holds for 1-1 in set two. Over on Lenglen, there's more good news for Andy Murray as Chela wins the tie-break to take Falla to a fifth set. Still Ferrer v Monfils to finish after that, then Makarova v Azarenka, so it could be 1830 BST before we see Murray swing his bat. BUT LISTEN - that is no reason for you to swan off and do your own thing and leave the live text. You hearing me?

1325: Fresh from Roland Garros by BBC Sport's Piers Newbery: "Andy Murray looks set to take on Viktor Troicki at the French Open on Monday after coming through a practice session unscathed as he tested out his injured ankle."

1318: Still not pretty from Nadal but he's doing a job. Two break points and that's one saved with the ball swerving all over the place like a Jimmy Anderson swing bowl. Two belting serves get Ljubicic right back in it and then an ace (his sixth in the match) gives him the game. 1-0 in the second set.

1316: Falla and Chela are in a nervy fourth set tie-break. Falla needs it for the match. Chela wins it and it's a five-setter and more rest time for Murray.

1313: NADAL WINS SET ONE 7-5 AGAINST LJUBICIC in 57 minutes. Who the heck was questioning this bloke anyway? Stroll in the Paris park. How we feeling now Nadal fans? Calmer? fair comment. The mighty Swede is playing Gilles Simon after this Nadal encounter.

1305: "They're going to struggle with the highlight reel" says John Lloyd as the errors roll on for both players. 12 unforced errors for Nadal. 19 for Ljubicic. But the world number one holds on. Pretty ugly stuff though. This is what champions do through right? Scrap their way through when they're not on top of their game. 5-5.

1302: Ljubicic secures his serve and now Nadal is serving to stay in the first set at 4-5. The clouds are gathering over Paris. Storms are coming, some are saying. Could be a storm brewing inside a certain Spaniard's head if he loses this opening set.

Patrick in London, via text 81111: "I wish people would stop saying that Nadal's dominance is over. True Djokovic is on fire at the moment, but it's not like he keeps beating Rafa on clay. Fact is Rafa is still the one to beat and he's there without playing well yet. If he picks up his game, I still don't think there's anyone who can match him on clay."

BBC Sport's Piers Newbery at Roland Garros: "Murray, sporting a bright red top, is hitting balls from the baseline on Ct15 but not moving much. Rain forecast later, I'm told"
Perhaps the weather and the elongated match between Ferrer and Monfils will give him another day to sit on that bag of peas.

1246: Nadal edges ahead 3-2. Chela has his nose in front 4-3 of Falla. Rafa's 0-30 on serve as his unforced error count reaches seven. Strange. But his opponent whose own error mark is a whopping 16 has two break points. And although the top of the tape keeps Nadal in the point, a cool sharp volley by Ljubicic at the net gives him the break. 3-3.

1241: Those Bryan boys can now head to their own Paris BBQ. The top seeds Bob and Mike have beaten Teymuraz Gabashvili and Mikhail Kukushkin 7-6 (8-6) 7-5 to make the fourth round in the men's doubles.

Twitter
BBC Sport's Piers Newbery at Roland Garros: "Out on Chatrier and it's cooled a bit, with the wind picking up. Lovely day for a Bank Holiday BBQ, not for getting the runaround from Nadal"
The thought of a burned banger, corn on the cob and a juicy burger is making feel a little edgy as I watch Nadal steam-roller Ljubicic.

1235: John Lloyd reckons the four-day enforced break for Djokovic is not a great thing for the world number two. For those just waking from your slumbers, Fognini earlier withdrew with a leg injury to hand Djokovic an immediate semi-final spot. Any recommendations for how the red-hot Serb can overcome a rusty 96 hours before a 'potential' semi against Federer?

Twitter
scorpioxx on Twitter: "I think Nadal and Federer are a distant memory compared to the dominance of Djokovic right now..can't see them beating him!"

1228: Ljubicic, sporting a racing green shirt that's rather easy on the eye, is struggling to hold serve and a limp dropshot allows Nadal to slap the ball away and get the break. 2-1 to the world number one. Falla and Chela are 2-2 in the fourth set.

1222: This Ljubicic any good? He's matched his Roland Garros second best showing this year - a semi-finalist five years ago. An Aussie Open quarter-finalist in 2006 but apart from that and his fourth round in Paris in 2008, never got beyond the third round in any of the Grand Slams. Nadal holds serve 1-1. Reckon Nadal can topple Djoko this week?

1218: A few of you have expressed your concerns regarding Nadal's current form. Will be interesting to see how he gets on with Ivan Ljubicic, ranked 37. Nadal loses the first game. 0-1.

I've never seen a tweet with so many questions. All good though. And yep - a big day. Do you have any answers? Now there's a question.

1208: Nadal, Murray's ankle status, Li Na, Djokovic's early semi-final spot. So much to discuss. So little time. Feel free to tweet me with anything at @bbcsport_mark or just get involved by using the hashtag at #bbctennis ) OR just text on 81111 (UK) with TENNIS before your message.

1204: Chela fighting for this third set and he breaks to get it back to 4-1. But the fight is fading. So much for my endorsement of the Argentine. Falla now serving for the third set and there it is. 2-1 in sets to Falla. A reminder - Ferrer 4-6 6-2 5-7 2-0 Monfils - will be played to a finish next on Lenglen.

1156: Rafael Nadal up next with Ivan Ljubicic. Fall leads 4-0 against Chela in the third set.

1153: LI NA BEATS PETRA KVITOVA 2-6 6-1 6-3. That's her first Roland Garros quarter-final - against Ekaterina Makarova OR Victoria Azarenka.

1145: The 21-year-old Kvitova is faltering at exactly the wrong time. After steaming through the first set, the Czech ninth seed loses serve and that's four games in a row this set. 4-3. Li Na now serving but that's a good response by Kvitova. She eyes the ball, takes aim and slaps a left-handed forehand just inside the line. Super stuff. Li Na keeps it cool though and it's 40-15. And that's 5-3 as Kvitova's backhand flies long and wide. Not clever. Pressure.

1142: I don't want to come over all Andy Murray too much but it is a vital hour for the Scot. He'll be heading to the practice courts very shortly and begin a knock-up at midday (UK time)....and all eyes will NOT be on his keepy-ups but his strapped right ankle. Has the bag of frozen peas over the last 40 hours done their job?

1136: This is a crucial, hear me? A CRUCIAL game. Li Na has her chances but goes long and the clay is quivering after a massive Chinese shriek. Deuce. Advantage to Kvitova but a tight-angled serve gets it back to deuce. But China's finest holds firm. 3-3. Huge.

1132: "She's back in business" says Sam Smith. And she's spot on as Li Na wins her third break point out of 12 on offer. It's a crucial winner and has the momentum changed? Ummmmm yes definitely. 3-2 to Kvitova and Li Na is serving. Interesting.

It's good news for a Briton
1130: Andy Murray isn't the only Brit in action today. Oli Golding is in the boys' doubles with Jiri Vesely a bit later on Court 16. They're the top seeds don't you know. Hoist that flag I say.

1128: Li Na holds on to her serve to trail 3-1 in the decider. On Chatrier, Chela is now serving for the second set. He lost the opener 6-4 to Falla. Game on.

Twitter
Davidcowie1967 on Twitter: "Murray on fourth what we need is for all the earlier games to go the distance and Andy's game to be carried over till Tuesday"
Wise words.

1122: Thought Li Na was going to stroll on and take this match after that second set demolition? WRONG. Kvitova holds serve and is 3-0 up in the decider. After being knocked out in the opening round at Roland Garros last year, Kvitova made the Wimbledon semis, the US Open third round and the quarters at the Aussie Open. A last eight spot at the French is now in her grasp against the sixth seed. Dominance and control now with Kvitova.

Twitter
BBC Sport's Piers Newbery at Roland Garros: "Confirmation for anyone still in doubt, maybe just me - Djokovic remains on 43 wins (41 in 2011) and will be no1 if he wins semi."

1119: A reminder - Andy Murray will have a hit at midday (UK time) and see how his ankle is. He's due to play fourth on Lenglen. Falla v Chela playing NOW on that court. Ferrer v Monfils playing to a finish. Makarova v Azarenka. Then Murray v Troicki. Finished with Petkovic v Kirilenko.

1117: Kvitova stays cool with her serve and holds at the start of the deciding third set.

1115: After losing the first set, Chela, ranked 34, roars back and is 3-0 up in second set against Falla. Interesting. Top seeded men's doubles - those pesky Bryan boys - are in action right now by the way. Thought I'd mention it.

1111: First set, Li Na out-played, out-thought, out-served. Second set, Lia Na reverses everything. The sixth seed takes it in 28 minutes to level the match. 87% first serve success. 100% second serve success. 8 winners, 3 double faults. Dominant. 6-1. Down to a decider. Quarter-final spot against Ekaterina Makarova or Victoria Azarenka up for grabs.

1108: Li Na has two more break points and after a few struggles, a backhand wrong-foots Kvitova and she makes it 5-1. Great recovery from the Chinese star. That's only her second conversion of a massive 11 break points.

1104: Peggy, Kvitova, Djokovic, Fognini.....I turn my eyes on these four for one minute, cast my eyes back on Chatrier and Li Na has turned on the power. The sixth seed leads 4-1 in the second set. The comeback is on.

Lee, via text 81111: "Kvitova and Peggy is spot on, tune in to the football later to see Shane "Djokovic" Long in action for Reading as well, might make up for Novak's match being cancelled."
(See entry 1044 for lookalike)

1101: Early thoughts suggested Djokovic's progression because of Fognini's withdrawal extended the Serb's unbeaten run even further but it seems, although this has still to be confirmed, the win doesn't count because it was a walkover. Will keep you posted.

1055: Li Na has steadied her ship and leads 2-1 in the second set. Over on Lenglen, Alejandro Falla has a 5-4 lead against Juan Ignacio Chela and has a break point for the first set. And he takes it...6-4 to Colombian Falla. 17 winners for the player ranked 120. Big.

Rafael Nadal v Ivan Ljubicic second up after Li Na v Kvitova on Chatrier.

1047: NEWSFLASH: Fabio Fognini withdraws from the French Open because of a pulled muscle in his left leg. DJOKOVIC IS INTO THE SEMIS. Does that count as another match on his unbeaten streak?

1044: An early lookalike for you. Kvitova = Peggy from Mad Men. What do you reckon?

1042: The tangerine outfit of Kvitova will not be dealing with too much perspiration. KVITOVA WINS FIRST SET AGAINST LI NA 6-2 IN 34 minutes. EASY STREET. Whooops. Lose the capitals. Smooth so far for the ninth seed.

1039: Shaky times for Li Na. Pressure getting to this year's Australian Open runner-up? She's never got beyond the fourth round at Roland Garros. Kvitova, meanwhile, breaks easily and the 21-year-old will now be serving for the set at 5-2. Solid.

1034: Li Na hanging in there with a good hold and then gets two break points (again) as Kvitova continues her shaky moments with serve. And once again, a combination of strong serves and sloppy errors from the Chinese player amounts to another hard-worked hold for Kvitova. Li Na trying to be too clever with the winners there. That's two massive service holds. 4-2.

5 live's Jonathan Overend at Roland Garros: "Fognini doing an impromptu press announcement in 10 mins. That's Djokovic into the semis then."
The Italian was in a bad shape after winning that five-setter against Albert Montanes that lasted well over four hours. Will keep you posted.

1025: An early break for Kvitova but the Chinese sixth seed is full of fight. Two break points immediately but boom, boom, boom and boom. A quartet of rather large serves dig the Czech player out of a stinky hole and she comes through to lead 3-1. Top stuff.

1020: If you still have any doubts about clocking in with us today allow me to throw you the words - WORLD NUMBER ONE. Oh yeh - and RAFAEL. He's had a scratchy start on his quest for six French Open crowns, although he looked pretty slick in his last round. Thoughts on Nadal? Reckon Djokovic has got a mental grip on the Spaniard right now? Anyway, Nadal v Ljubicic second on Chatrier. Then it's Simon v Soderling. Sharapova v Radwanska wraps up the day. A mouth-watering line-up of five matches on the Lenglen clay today.

1017: A steady opening from Li Na and Kvitova. 1-1.

1013: At midday o'clock (UK time) Murray will have a little practice and give his injured ankle a run-out. He has been undergoing treatment which has probably included a million ice baths and a bag of peas. Murray twisted his right ankle during his win over Michael Berrer on Saturday and will be hoping to recover for his scheduled match against Viktor Troicki later today. He's down to play fourth on Suzanne Lenglen with a likely start time around 1600 BST. Let's hope he pulls through. A quarter-final spot awaits......but there's plenty of other stuff going on today. More of that in a moment. How are we all doing today?

1007: First up is Li Na and Petra Kvitova on Chatrier. China's sixth seed has looked good in Paris this week but she's got it all to do against the red-hot ninth seed. Should be a cracker. But there will be loads of tennis fans waking up this morning wondering if they'll be seeing Andy Murray in action later. I have some news for you.....

BBC Sport's Piers Newbery at Roland Garros: "It's another scorcher - Red Button/online to cover Kvitova & Nadal before possibly BBC2 for Murray, 5 live commentary via web."

1001: Morning. Bank holiday Monday in some parts of the world. That means dodgy weather, car boot sales, screaming kids and football play-offs. Sounds like a nightmare. But you know what? Somebody called Roland Garros is here to save you.
